It is exciting to see a new single player IP come out from Sony, since their exclusive library has been incredibly disappointing this gen being mostly sequels or remakes. Seeing new stuff instead of constant sequels is definitely something I’d like to see more of.

For me it just being available only on Sony makes me consider it Sony exclusive. I hope it comes to PC though.

I would have far fewer issues with gacha games if more studios took that gacha money and used it to fund projects like this instead of swimming in it scrooge mcduck style.

Some studios seem to be doing that.

The Arknights developer Hypergryph has created a bunch of new divisions to develop different games, including non-gacha single player ones. Their first non-gacha game Ex Astris was a bit underwhelming… but it costs like 9 bucks, so it’s not like the expectations are that high at least for me.

Lesser known studio Project Moon also released a gacha game (Limbus Company) which they did I believe expressly say was to fund their future full release games. I would honestly really recommend their games, especially Library of Ruina if you enjoy difficult games with pretty cool story/setting.
