Where did this picture come from? Cleveland had slight clouds so the corona was small like this, so I’m leaning Cleveland. But the eclipse traveled all over Ohio so it could be anywhere.

There was a tiny red dot, I think it was Mars? Did anyone get a good picture of it?

Western Ohio near St.Mary’s. I didn’t get Mars nor Venus even though they were nearby. I tunnel visioned on the eclipse itself.

I saw three dots through the light clouds.

One was deeply red. The other two were brighter colors, but I couldnt quite place them.

Rumor around my hotel was that five planets would be visible, so I spent some time looking for the dots. Only found three myself though

Mars is my first thought due to the reddish hue.

But word around my Hotel was that it was Mercury, since it was so close to the sun.

EDIT: Sounds like the red dots were “Baily’s Beads”, a phenomenon where the sun’s lights get warped by bouncing around the moon’s valleys and mountains before coming back out in a random direction.
