About the only different thing they could have done is call off the pursuit if they knew his address, but there’s no way to know if the idiot would have then done or caused something worse (like an auto accident from the erratic driving)

I feel for the cops, I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with this kind of asshole regularly.
What they could have done is not shoot any innocent people. That would be the absolute top priority of any police force in any democratic country.
