    Trail mix is horrible alternative. It has a shit ton of calories for what you snack

      I just dole out a half cup, measured in grams at ~75g, when I feel snackish. While calorie dense, there’s a number of good fats, protein, vitamins / minerals. Compared to say cookies or chips, etc.
