Former President Trump is the front-runner in a three-way race with President Biden and Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., according to a Harvard CAPS-Harris poll shared with The Hill on Monday.

In a race between the three candidates, 44 percent of surveyed voters said they backed Trump, while 38 percent said they would vote for Biden. Another 12 percent said they supported Kennedy, and 5 percent said they did not know or were unsure of whom they were going to support.

Biden has a LOT of work to do, and I mean A LOT.

He’s behind in all the swing states, and is burning time and money in states he won’t win like Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.

An aberration, won’t happen this time.

It definitely won’t if he doesn’t focus any of his campaign there. Ignoring places like this is how Hillary lost.

Yes, I agree, his admin has a lot of work to do, half a year out until 2024 Nov elections so things can change a great amount in the positive… or negative though…

I myself advocate for 3rd party candidates and joining local groups in helping our communities, so as to have a much greater impact.

I was a Bernie Sanders advocate in 2016/2020, but as I grow and learn my politicial leanings has changed to follow closer to this mantra:

We should focus our actions, time, and resources on Direct Action, Mutual Aid, and Community Outreach. If you do engage in Electoral Politics do not support the Duopoly (Red or Blue Team). No War but Class War!

More than advocating for 3rd party, we need to advocate for 100% vote by mail and ranked choice ballots.

In our current system, voting 3rd party is a non-starter. Ranked choice? That can make a change.

You see what happens in vote by mail states? It’s CRAZY:

        2022 Midterms:

        https://www.census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2024/congressional-election-voting-report.html

“The voter registration rate (69.1%) for the 2022 congressional election was the highest registration rate of a midterm election in 30 years. However, the voter turnout rate (52.2%) was lower than in the 2018 (53.4%) midterm elections”

But in vote by mail states:

        Oregon 61.5%:

        https://www.opb.org/article/2023/01/05/oregon-voter-turnout-highest-in-us-general-election-2022/

        Colorado 58.5%:

        Washington 59.7%

the second sentence is why the first won’t happen. Democrats share power with pubies because they get more power than most the centrists who control the party otherwise would get in ranked choice.

Thanks for sharing info on RCV and mail in ballots!

More people voting is great and all, but I think the main reason people sit out of the political system is due to it being for the owner class and not the working class.

The duopoly is what hinders 3rd parties from running, while both are controlled by lobby groups and the owner class backed corporations.

The populist can tell when the system is rigged against us working class people.

The status quo will continue even if mail in ballots and RCV is implemented… but do not get me wrong, they are vital improvements into the current broken system, even if they are small improvements!
