It still has the trademark excellent writing and gameplay, but it didn’t sell well because it’s just a quirky game. There was no market for a “wizard-basketball visual novel” (their words, not mine)
The tech test was already feeling really solid. New characters, more detailed art, continuation of the story from Hades 1 with a new big bad…
