I usually only play games for about a month before I lose interest. I didn’t usually come back, either. With that in mind I’m going to wait for this to get closer to full release

If it’s as great as Hades I then it’ll be a banger of a game

The tech test was already feeling really solid. New characters, more detailed art, continuation of the story from Hades 1 with a new big bad…

I’m a fan of Supergiant in general, so I’m really excited to get further into it.

        Great to hear

I don’t know that Supergiant has ever missed so I’m excited to play this when it fully releases

          Pyre was arguably a miss

But I see it as more of a red-headed-stepchild of their games.

It still has the trademark excellent writing and gameplay, but it didn’t sell well because it’s just a quirky game.

There was no market for a “wizard-basketball visual novel” (their words, not mine)

I will be getting an oled 32 inch monitor next week (hopefully). This is the game I will play first.

The rush to rate the game when it’s in early access is ridiculous

Of course, but I would argue any reviewer rating a new thing because the “liked the last one” shouldn’t be reviewing games. They should be reviewing the new thing solely as itself in it’s entirety. And in the case of early access like this…the game isn’t done, most the story isn’t complete, etc. so why rush to rate it now? Just give it a rating when it’s a finished and complete package

Why wait until then? I’m rating what I’ve seen and played so far. I’ve gotten to the middle of the third stage in my first few runs yesterday. That’s far enough to get a good feeling for the gameplay, and to see a good part of the meta progression.

If later parts turn out to be bad, I can always change my review.
