Former President Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, has declined to serve as a delegate at this summer’s Republican National Convention, according to a senior Trump campaign adviser and a statement from Melania Trump’s office.

“While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines due to prior commitments,” the statement from the former first lady’s office said.

Barron Trump, who turned 18 in March, had been selected by the Florida GOP to serve as an at-large delegate at the July convention. Several other Trump family members – including Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump – were also selected as delegates.

I’m pretty sure it was Melania who noped him out of that. It wouldn’t surprise me if Trump didn’t bother actually asking the kid if he wanted to do it before trying to shove him up on stage.

I’d imagine the idea of using the child she was carrying when he cheated on her with a porn star in the middle of his criminal trial for paying her hush money as a political pawn didn’t sit right with Mels.

Nah, I bet she didn’t give one flying fuck about that (until it became public and made Trump look bad [well, worse]). There’s no way Melania didn’t have ulterior motives for marrying Trump- it wasn’t love, it was money/power/promises/Russian handlers that created that relationship. Reportedly one of her bodyguards is her own side piece.

This was Trumpty-Dumpty doing one of his “power moves from the 80s”- claiming that Barron was going to be a delegate, forcing the RNC to either accept it or risk losing face/the wrath of the MAGAts. It’s not the first time he’s done that before.
