Photos by Birdergirl

Sorry for the delay, I started to feel sick last night so I’ve been asleep half the day. I didn’t get to either post I wanted to do today, so just another picture post today. I’m feeling a bit better now, so hopefully tomorrow I’ll have some good stuff for you tomorrow.

Post photo taken in British Columbia.

Comment photos in Utah.

I went down to Nevada and Idaho to see my lifer Himalayan Snowcock and Cassia Crossbills. I ended up seeing both well but the highlight of the trip was getting a photo in Utah of a bird I’ve seen many times before in BC. I suck at night photography but read up on it and was finally able to get a decent record shot of a Flammulated Owl. While owling had at least 12 of these owls plus 3 Saw-whets and 3 Great-Horneds plus quite a few Common Poorwills. Every time I see a Flammie I can’t get over how tiny they are.

Your health is more important than sassy owl pictures ❤️ glad you are on the mend!

Also, this guy looks like he wants to have some words about being woken up, and I love it.

I picked him since we had the same expression this morning. I just have a sinus infection I think, so it’s just discomfort. I’m still gradually getting better, but the owls cheer me up to!

Mrs Grey has a funny booty wiggle to reposition herself on the eggs! 🥰

The Snowy highlights were neat too. I don’t know how long the highlight reel covers, but Mr Snowy looks to be a very successful hunter. Mrs Snowy always looks so excited when he got back with something.

          Thanks for sharing those!

    Hellz yeah, Flammy Friday 💪

Much needed as I’m finishing up shop vaccing around 50 gallons of water off my basement floor because I’m a complete idiot who likes to overflow bathtubs.

    It’s fine. It’s my house. I’ll fix it. 🤦

      Oh no!

See, I knew a post was going to be needed here by someone!

Water damage is no joke, good luck with your cleanup!

Nah, it’s fine. Wet things dry. They’re fine as long as you get them dried out in a timely fashion. All the water is up, dehumidifier running ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
