It’s over 1 million! Thanks for being a massive force keeping the fediverse moving!

Also yours and stamets memes are a large reason my wife and I started watching TNG for the first time to see what we were missing out on and we are binging the hell out of it and having an amazing time, cheers!

Omg, thanks! I noticed that it had hit a million recently, and I was thinking about writing up a post to commemorate it and maybe share some thoughts about my experience posting like a madman on the fediverse for 6-7 months so far. If I do, it’ll probably be on the c/fediverse community, unless anyone can think of a more fitting one.

I’m also surprised it’s still visible! My instance upgraded to 0.19 recently, which supposedly takes away the upvote count from your profile view. I was secretly hoping to make it to one million before the upgrade happened… Lol

(Edit: also glad to hear you got into TNG!)

You and a few others like stamets are unironically keeping Lemmy alive for me.

      Thanks!

For me it’s just 3.3k /2.1k post and comment scores when I look at your profile. Maybe it depends on what version the viewing user‘s instance has instead?

Yeah, I guess it must be instance dependent to view it. And even then, it’s also probably limited by what posts/comments are visible to the viewer based on federation.

I should have virtually all content federated to me, my instance has like 4 defederations only. So yeah must be instance version related.

NGL I thought there’d be more posts and comments than that to get that score

      Damn that’s pretty impressive

Edit: Just realized this was a link to their lemmy.world account not their startrek.website account

Hey, my wife and me, too! I’ve watched episodes here and there, but never consistent enough to really get into it. Starting from scratch now, though!

Must be a third party app or forked instance. Points were removed in a previous version of Lemmy, I believe, in favor of just showing post count and comment count.

You just make one up. I recently hit 1 trillion on Lemmy and Barak Obama made me breakfast in bed to celebrate.

I’ve never seen a combined post or comment score on any browser or app profile page. I’m reading these comments like, “Am I am idiot?”

And sorry. I don’t know how to do mentions on lemmy so someone feel free to mention them and educate my stupidity :)

Looks like it’s (at)username(at)instance. So for you it’d be @[email protected]. It doesn’t suggest or autofill the instance or anything so you gotta know their whole deal.

(well that links to the user in question anyway, I assume that also tells them there’s a mention)

People who start shows anywhere but the first episode chronologically are responsible for obesity in children
