    That road goes to the old Orbital Sciences offices in Northern VA (they were bought but Northrop Grumman in the 2010s, though the offices are still there I believe). I’ve driven by that sign many many times and always enjoy it.

    I believe that’s where Orbital ATK’s headquarters were located before Northrop Grumman bought them out

      Others have said it’s a company that does space-related stuff, so apparently it was intentional. I never heard of it before.

    If the interior of the Discovery was built by Americans, it would probably have a 10 mile freeway to Engineering.

      Thankfully, it was officially built by Starfleet, but technically built by Canadians.

        … so an extremely long lonely roadway into the wilderness with the chance of encountering wild animals to get to the next town.
