Welcome to the club. The most important is one you left out though: stress. I know its hard but you should consider quitting that. Much more problematic than alcohol as well.

      The alcohol treats the stress.

      Totally not a vicious cycle.

Spicy food never really gave me acid reflux. The biggest factor for me beating acid reflux was eating less and slower.

Quitting coffee was one of the hardest things to do. Every morning I have to walk into the office, tired af, but must forego the shitty cheap free coffee in the breakroom. Caffeine is a helluva drug.

Dont take zantac for it. It causes pancreatic cancer. Lost my dad to it after taking it for years. There’s a class action suit that doesn’t pay out if (when for p.c.) you die

I take Prilosec daily to mitigate the same factors. Minus coffee, but subbed with energy drinks.

You’re not just shooting the stomach … you’re taking a shot gun to your back, your knees, your shoulders, your kidneys, your heart, your liver, your lungs, your immune system, your blood, your brain, your teeth, your mouth, your nasal passages, your eyes, your skin … everything.

You’re taking a flame thrower to the temple that is your body and then stand back and wonder why everything is on fire … then go back to spraying napalm over everything.

Good idea … the whiskey will keep the plastics solvent and keep it from causing a stroke

Uhh… True, if exaggerated, for alcohol. Not at all for coffee, spice, or citrus. Coffee has more health benefits than negatives especially if you switch to decaffeinated. Spice has plenty of documented benefits. Citrus… Seriously? Fruit is obviously good for health.

Yeah citrus is weird maybe the meme maker is allergic?

Or the extra acidity is just a hair too much?

It’s because citrus is acidic, it’s a very common trigger of acid reflux. Same goes for tomatoes, especially in a concentrated form like a sauce.

Coffee in moderation (less than 400 mg caffiene/day) is just fine, and it may even be healthy

Capsaicin is good for you, peppers are nutritious

      Citrus is good for you

Alcohol isn’t good for you. You’re complaining about alcohol.

Those above things can trigger acid reflux sometimes for some people. If you get it often enough that it’s a chronic problem, there’s probably something else at the root of the issue that these things are exacerbating. Having your head that far up your ass must be making you hypoxic. That surely can’t be good for your “temple”

Uh…I mean maybe if you’re an alcoholic, but there’s nothing wrong with it in moderation. Not everyone who drinks is slamming a liter of vodka each night.
