Babies and parents have been doing well since the eagle attack. If you missed that thread, go check it out. Nobody got hurt, but it’s crazy to see how these raptors both fight and defend against each other. Someone else posted the eagle attack the owls, and I found a slo mo of it and also showed a GHO send an eagle flying from the news.

Everyone seems healthy and there has been lots of food in the nest to go around.

The babies are standing up and should be opening their eyes soon.

Check them out on the RaptorCAM or if you scroll down on the desktop version of the site, they post still highlights.

Such a great picture. Reminds me of a cat! I love these birds so much. GHOs are my favorite.

It’s hard for me to pick just one favorite, but GHO is definitely top tier!

Big, powerful, great coloration, nice tufts, classic hoot call. This owl checks all the boxes!

The hoot and their super expressive faces are what do it for me!

I’m probably most impressed that even though a bald eagle is up to 3x the size, the GHO has more powerful talons and they will not only stand their ground in defense, but they will also take the offensive attacking eagles on their home turf as well.

They are! I’ve become very invested in them, and I have a great appreciation for their teamwork. It’s really a lot of work that goes into this more than just sitting in one spot.
