They certainly did a lot of talking this episode. It has been quite a while since I read the beginning of this story, and I hadn’t quite appreciated how long the build up was to the fight against the demon army. Things have to kick off next episode, right? It seems like Rose’s heroics destroying that bridge probably bought us an episode’s worth of airtime. I am pretty sure everybody has had their character moment to find the conviction to fight, so it should be full steam ahead.

As for this episode, not too much to say, just lots of introspection really. I did find two moments entertaining in a funny kind of way. First, I was laughing at all the lines that could be interpreted in a BL manner during Usato and Kazuki’s talk. I can just imaging that Inukami was snickering to herself as she eavesdropped.

The other moment I thought was funny (and I thought about making it the lead image) was Rose seeming to caress Usato’s face as she lectured him:

Out of context, you would totally get the wrong vibes here. I ended up deciding that seeing Usato in his new uniform would be a bit spoilery since that is meant to be a big graduation-like moment for him.

Here’s hoping for some action next week! It’s gotta be coming or else they wouldn’t have released a whole trailer about it today.
