Also the senses of your inside, like the sense of hunger, feeling you need to pee… And are we supposed to add just the senses that we’re aware of? The body can sense lots of things that it doesn’t bother the consious with. These are, of course, just the human senses, should we add those of other animals too?

That weird thing called “intuition”. I know, I know. But there is something. That feeling before the shit hits the fan. Or the dice WILL fall right this time, not because you wish it, it just will. Maybe an accumulation of(partly) subconscious processes.

With BCIs and implants, you can add a near infinite number of new senses or abilities. I remember seeing something where they gave people basically an internal compass using one of those brain signal transmitter caps and tested their ability to maintain a straight line while walking blindfolded against people not using the device and everyone with the new sense was able to stay perfectly straight. The participants had a hard time describing it, but they could feel where North was and always stay aligned to whatever direction they wanted. There are now prosthetic fingers that you can control with your mind and come with a “phantom sense” similar to what amputees experience coming from the electronic limb. This shit is so cool to me.

When you leave the house and sense you left the stove on but you were actually sensing somebody else’s stove.

there’s something called “I-sense” which makes us humans aware of other individuals, you sense that an other person has an “I” (not in the Freud way). like you sense that a rock doesnt

This one fails me whenever a clothed mannequin is in my peripheral vision.
