I don’t have a spicy remark, but it was funny in itself.
The irony is not lost on me. In fact, that’s not too far off to how I got the nick name and made it a username years later.
I’d be interested to hear the story if you care, for I took a not so unsimilar username a couple of times due to having a shit taste in music and being generally known in my friend circles as this one nerd for my quirks. Guess, many folks on Lemmy do too. And I sure many are interested in the lore behind our top poster (:
Oh, you flatterer. Top? Not hardly. Top OC poster? Unlikely, but probably in talks within top 20. Ego boosting not withstanding: I was in the backseat of a buddy’s car plus 2 others during senior year of high school. We were discussing plans to meet up later and passenger seat says they’ll let (other backseat passenger name) and… um… that guy know later. This was spoken by a friend I’d known for 5+ years by then. Total brain fart on their part, but the name stuck.
