That sign exemplifies a lot of things wrong with modern politics. The election of our nation’s leader is not a sporting event. It shouldn’t be a team event either. It should be a campaign to convince the people that the candidate is the best path forward for American people. But a quarter of the people only care that their “team” wins, another quarter only cares that the other “team” loses, or is punished, and half the people are indifferent which leads to this type of sporting event marketing in an attempt to engage an apathetic audience. It’s a troubling change to our national election process, and it does not bode well for our future.

Most of this is a Republican problem. See for example things like: “f— your feelings”, “the revenge tour”, “tr*** that b****”, etc. I don’t think any of that is about trying to select the best, most competent candidate, but instead, it’s about trying to own normal Americans.

When I was younger we disagreed about what path forward would lead to the best outcome, but we all identified as Americans, and we all wanted what was best for the country. Over the last 6 years, I’ve seen a dramatic change where politics is now about hurting the other party, or advancing a specific agenda, or just winning at any cost. People don’t seem to view Americans with different perspectives as their countrymen anymore. Republicans especially are party over country now. It fucking sucks, to be honest with you.

Yeah, age is the key concern here.

Truthfully if I ignore the treason, age is very much my next issue. I hardly feel represented when my president is 50 years my senior.

Administrations matter. Look even if your worried about Biden’s age, if something happens to him would you rather have his administration or Trumps? Cause the answer is very clear for me at least.

Presidents do not fill the office in isolation.

Woaw there, same team hombre. I know how I’m voting and lemme tell you it ain’t for treasondon. I’m just saying I’m not a fan of the fact that Biden is as old as he is. Sure he seems to be capable and doing a good job minus the Israel situation, I’d just be a bit happier were he younger and I think that’s a fair criticism to make

Age leads to a difference in viewpoint, what is hugely important to me isn’t necessarily so with someone 50 years older than me. How do I know it’ll be viewed with the same importance?

Mind you, I’m still voting for him. I’d just like someone a little closer to me in age and hopefully viewpoint.

But by this reasoning, anyone under 35 is not going to be represented. Same for anyone that is not a naturalized citizen.
