PH subway system operational by 2029 – DOTr
Authorities said the subway system would be able to withstand earthquakes and floods.
“We are incorporating in the Philippine subway this technology. So I believe this subway is intact for earthquake, no problem because (it is) based on Japanese standards,” said Akihiko Fujiyoshi, project director of OCGlobal-JV, the Japanese consortium which is building the project.
I’m excited at seeing this and other mass transport projects be completed. Sana lang ma-maintain yung Japanese standards na yan at hindi lang press release at sa umpisa lang.

I think mrt7 will open at 2025 when looking at the state it is currently in.
On the other hand, below grade construction doesn’t have the same issues as at grade/above grade construction. Securing land is mostly just an issue with station locations.
I guess that’s a positive note, hopefully it doesn’t get delayed too much like other infrastructure projects.
