Israel’s military has said it plans to move displaced Palestinians in Gaza to what it called “humanitarian islands” in the middle of the strip, ahead of any offensive in Rafah.
Some 1.4 million people are sheltering in the southern city after fleeing the fighting between Israeli troops and Hamas in northern and central areas.
It is not clear what the “islands” will look like, or how they will operate.
Babe wake up, new marketing term for concentration camps just dropped.
Got to say, that’s quite creative.
Horrific, but creative
From the article it sounds more like Trail of Tears…
They’re refugees in their own country who are starving to death, and now being told they have to walk a great distance to safety, knowing as soon as they get there they’ll likely be ordered to do another forced march.
Israel is going to keep ordering starvation marches all across Palestine. And killing everyone that won’t or can’t do the march.
The places they’re being moved to now, have already been destroyed. There’s no food, water, or shelter there.
But it sounds so much nicer.
I bet there’ll be palm trees and coconuts! And dates. Like a fuckload of dates.
To harvest, without pay.
Sounds more like Warsaw ghettos.
Sounds like these “islands” will make it easy for Palestinian refugees to “concentrate” while they “camp”.
Wait, no not like tha-
Reminder: forced displacement is in itself a war crime and nobody’s forcing the Israeli government to carry on with their genocidal plans for Rafah.
“we will bring total victory for the people of Israel”
– NetanjahuIf you translate that directly to German and replace “Israel” with “Germany”, you’ve got a Hitler quote.
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Israel announced that they were setting up ‘bathing facilities’ for Palestinian refugees at these ‘humanitarian islands’.
They might install some sun bathing facilities that go up to 1.600 Farenheit
Will they be moved by train, perhaps?
Oh god… it’s actually happening
Another great humanitarian suggested moving them to Madagascar. O wait that was another people…
We used to call that place “Palestine”.
