My buddy was telling me how he’s paying over $1100 for a single bedroom apartment that he’s been in for 3 months, and he’s already having AC issues. A former apartment he lived in, and paid less for, had AC issues in the middle of the night and they brought him a window AC that same night until it was fixed. New place that charges MORE? Nope.

For literally a third of one month’s rent, from him alone, they could purchase one window AC unit to have on hand for situations like this, but do they/will they? Where the hell is this money for increasing rent going to if the quality of living doesn’t go up as well?

Where do you live for rent so cheap? Where I am you can’t get anything under 2k for a one bedroom unit.

It’s not luck, it’s a lot of effort to evict single mothers because they’re a couple dollars short on rent day.

My grandpa handed over these properties to me years ago and I’m too drunk to do any other job,

I have seriously had to fight in court because they refused to let me pay electronically, even though in the terms of the lease it says paying through their website. I have been here for 5.5 years. They are refusing to take the tender in the form they asked and claiming it’s my refusal to pay because I won’t drive two hours to drop off a check. Who still uses checks?

That doesn’t sound fun, hopefully the courts rule in your favour.

Its a shit show. Their lawyers don’t return calls and there is a class action against them for overcharging other tenants in other states. I stay here because I do like the house and my son has been here since he was a little boy.
