    The high desert of eastern Oregon preserves a number of early sagebrush sandals. There’s a significant change in the style and process of making them at some point and some archeologists argue that this may represent the arrival of a different cultural group into the area.

      Because in ancient times they wore socks over the sandals.

    Are these the ones on display where they don’t have the actual originals because they accidently destroyed them or destroyed them in some academic process?

    Pretty sure I’ve seen the recreation of these in person. They were super nice if it’s the same place.
