I cannot even pretend to speak on this subject in a remotely unbiased way. So I will just let the liberals in the comments tell us all what the official government version of events is.
They killed 100 people. Because 1930s America was cultural closer to 1930s Germany than to anything decent, and they just get off of on doing things like that.

Killing is one thing. They tortured them for years and allowed them to spread diseases in their community when a cure existed. Truly evil.
This is one of those horrors of American history that I’m genuinely surprised was not hidden or covered up forever. It’s so completely evil.
White suburbanites meanwhile can’t even begin to understand why vaccine hesitancy was so high in black communities other than “it must be that evil Trump”
Not all of us are ignorant of American history.
