This is what we love to see young birds doing when we approach them not wearing a ghost suit to disguise our human features. Defensive posture, and beak clacking! This owl chick will stay with our adult great horned owl, where it will learn to fly and to hunt, before being released to wild at the end of summer.

That is so hilarious but also really cool cause I understand why they designed it that way lol
I mean, I realize it’s to avoid teaching the chicks that humans are cool and food-givers and stuff.
but I’m not really sure I expected that. I don’t know what I expected. This is like if the Grim Reaper went shopping at a military surplus store and got some tactikool blankets and stuff. (which just makes it slightly more amusing than bedsheets.)
