They spent decades stacking the courts to dictate the rule of law and make any of their actions nice and legal.

They spent decades establishing a propaganda machine so support wouldn’t wain as they upgrade the dog whistles to dog sirens and implement a Christian Fascism dictatorship.

Why anyone is surprised by this is the deeply troubling part.

I mean it’s not the only deeply troubling part, but having grown up attending many youth oriented religious events that constantly preached stacking the courts, electing strong Christian leaders, and generally ‘taking back America for Jesus’, I’m not surprised at all but I am terrified

Good thing there’s a well regulated militia under the impression that it’s raison d’être is to prevent a malicious government.

    Edit: is

If it’s a rental property, you would own it but maybe not consider it “your house” colloquially

You’re being weirdly pedantic about everything here. I’m trying to figure out why.

No way he’s flying his own flag on a rental property. That’d be insane. As a landlord, I can tell you none of my tenants the past 10+ years would have ever allowed for something like that.

Ye Olde Americans: The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.

Contemptorary Americans: Voting will fix everything despite every election for many decades seeing us slide further to the right regardless of who wins.
