Nah, that only happens when the parent company as enough money and power to setup those kind of deals. If Reddit is doing as poorly as they claim (“3rd party apps are profitable, we aren’t”), they’ll never have enough money and influence to become a built in app.

Why? Samsung/verizon/att/etc are not preinstalling the facebook or tiktok malware because they actually think “people will appreciate this”, but because they’re getting paid for it.

It’s impossible that reddit will pay the hundreds of millions of dollars required to do this, they shut down the API as it was “unsustainable” while costing them just 10 million dolllars (and imho much less than that)

Facebook is the app that a lot of countries use to access the internet. Sort of like how AOL was the portal to the internet a couple decades ago.

I sure hope not. I don’t think Reddit has the money to pay for that kind of spot, thank goodness.

Not if Spez kills it first. With all their recent moves it seems to be going the direction of MySpace.

I doubt that, first Reddit needs billions of dollars to throw at phone companies.

If Reddit keeps going the same way Twitter seems to be, then there won’t be a Reddit app for much longer.
