    I’m sorry, but Tasha was a terrible actress. No, I do not wish this in the slightest.

      I don’t think she was a bad actress, but she was “cluttering up” the bridge. Worf was always a far more interesting character and, once she was gone, Worf got to shine brighter.

        Worf didn’t even have an interesting backstory in the first season. He was just the Klingon in the crew and was sometimes kind of stuffy. Tasha’s backstory of being from the rape planet was incredibly cringe, though, and they didn’t spend any of her nearly two dozen episodes fleshing her out beyond that while Worf spent the first season accumulating minor quirks.

      Tasha was a security officer so it makes sense that she isn’t a great actress. Look at Riker and his middling trombone abilities as another example of Starfleet “excellency”.
