        The ThrustSSC has achieved a speed of 1,227.985 km/h in October 1997 and has gone unchallenged for decades.

        ThrustSSC was also the first recorded land vehicle to ever break the sound barrier, at Mach 1.016.

        Too fast for electric motors. This is basically a pair of jet engines on wheels with a seat attached. The jet thrust is what’s propelling this bad boy.

          I would say it’s too soon as the technology still needs more research and development to know for sure as we could have electric planes that could be as big as an airbus a320 I don’t know if we will use their “jets” to shrink them down the make the world’s fastest car to exist.

          But you never know. High speed railways are very impressive.

            Very cool vehicle, but apparently turbine engines have really bad city fuel economy
