They aren’t saying what kind of gun. Zip guns have a long history of being made in prisons, although it worked for two consecutive shots that were both deadly, so it may have been a real gun somehow, zip guns usually don’t work more than once, and they can often be less than deadly.

When you look at prison contraband it can come from many sources, people smuggling in things at visits, throwing things into the yard, drone drops, and prison workers smuggling things in. Civilians and LEOs have all been caught doing this to some degree.

Poorly worded headline. I initially read that and thought she shot a dead person.

The irony is that was how it used to be said.

You wouldn’t say “shot and killed” you’d say “shot dead”

Apparently the editor realized it was not a good way to phrase it and reworded it. To make the original headline clearer, it could have been “Woman shot dead by…”

Americans seem to have guns everywhere. Even inside prisons…

Forget about the damn gun, this woman was a “food service” worker in a prison at 04:00. That’s gotta be one of the shittiest jobs in the country. She didn’t even work for Georgia, she worked for Aramark, a contractor.

Why in the hell would they shoot an already dead food service worker?
