She thought they were shoes made out of babies, rather than for babies.
The protagonist thought that “baby shoes” would be “babies, as shoes.” It’s either very morbid or weirdly cute.
It’s like assuming “girl scout cookies” have “girl scouts” as an ingredient.
I can’t get the linked website to display the full comic on my phone, either in mobile mode or desktop view. Anyone have any luck? Maybe if I switched to landscape mode… Nope.
Weird. I can drag to pan around the preview under See Latest to see the whole thing but I can’t see the one in the main view.
