Lab grown meat already exists. The same processes could easily make human meat without harming the human.

I’m fairly certain this will at some point lead to a social media fad of people trying, well, people. It seems like every possible stupid action has already been turned into one at this point https://eu.app.com/story/news/world/2024/03/07/what-is-tiktok-chroming-trend/72879475007/

Onlyfans creators already sell stuff like toenail clippings and bathwater https://kotaku.com/belle-delphine-onlyfans-paypal-pornhub-bath-water-1851491916

Wouldn’t be difficult to imagine people buying meat made of their favourite creator. What they do with it is between them and their god.

“Do you really want to eat Bella Thorne’s ass? Well, for just $19.99 you can fry up a small part of it!”

So you kind of miss the obvious long term application in this scenario: buy a totally realistic dildo clone of my penis, buy a clone of my boobs etc. A step beyond just meat but the more realistic application of this technology in the sex world.

I think they’ll be eating their favourite onlyfans creators, just not in the way you’re suggesting.

And how do you keep that from deteriorating and decaying? It would be meat after all and meat has the nasty property to get really bad in very short time without a living body attached to it keeping it fresh.

Well planned obsolescence is a good thing for the content maker - the customer has to buy it again if they like it. The ultimate DRM?

Okay, if you phrase it that way then it is a feature not a bug 🤔😄

Wait, would my dildo clone have a foreskin? Would the fake be more real than the real thing?

I feel like that will become illegal pretty quickly.

Probably, can’t imagine it being good for your health. But there may be a brief, highly profitable window.

This kind of concept is in Brandon Cronenbergs’ film Antiviral

Where are the infectious prions coming from if it is lab grown meat? There should be the same risks with any other lab grown meat then, because prions are not something special to only human meat.

Not necessarily, most of the known prions we associate with cannibalism are neurological, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any that primarily affect other parts of the body that require proteins that aren’t infectiously badly folded.

I’m pretty sure cannibalism is already legal in the United States. The problem is you can’t legally acquire human meat.

I don’t think cannibalism is illegal in many places, the problem with it is acquiring the meat.

There will no doubt be a line of the wealthiest people selling their sole for a profit.

I don’t think this is what was implied when we said to “eat the rich”, though. Or “bootlicker” and “ass kisser”.

The problem is that the lab-meat probably wouldn’t taste the same as the human-meat. I’m reasonably confident that the (minimum) 18 years of living the OF person would have to do impacts and changes the quality and taste of flesh.

It’s possible that the lab-meat would taste like the OF person did when they were a baby… but that opens a whole new door of moral and ethical and legal issues.

I’d eat a Bell Delphine burger. I wouldn’t spend my own money on it, but I feel like that’d make for a fun story.

Yea if it was still rare I’m pretty sure people would be fascinated to know what it tasted like. Whole reason I had this thought really.
