Having just rewatched DS9 for the Nth time (wife’s first), it still really pisses me off how they offed her. Man I missed Jadzia in S7.

I could see this as a conversation between Jerry and Beth. This is especially apt because Jerry was abstracted into a worm in the therapy episode.
