I recently rewatched Waterworld when doing my Bad Movie Days…
Honestly, I wish I could go back and watch it in the theater with the same eye. Shit’s fucking hilarious.
Dennis Hopper steals the show, though not to discount “Paper.”
I love the movie. Yes, it’s a bad remake of Mad Max, but the over-the-topness of it is super enjoyable to me.
And to think, it was the most expensive and over budget flop of its time. Not that it really affected Costner, who just kept on making his sports and Western films.
If you film it, they may not come
We just saw the stunt show this summer. I haven’t seen the movie since watching it on some movie channel in the 90s. Seeing the show made me want to go back and watch it (I remember liking it as a kid — not saying I had good taste) but I’m afraid to be disappointed!
Have you watched the directors cut? Its an extended version that’s closer to the vision of the director before Kevin Costner demanded sweeping changes
