I’d like to quietly push them onto a spit roast. They aren’t gonna eat themselves.

This is that moment where I’d like to point out what Elon makes per hour. Pulling data from a quick google search Moneyzine claims Elon makes 1.6 MILLION dollars… an hour (every hour, not “working hours”). But because we pick on Elon too much, Bloomberg shows Jeff Bezos makes 4.4 million per hour (though i think those numbers are “working hours”). Thats an unfathomable amount to most humans in a lifetime, let alone per hour (working or just every hour).

But lets make this simple, straight across 100 mil is the target here for a 25% tax. Thats 25% tax versus the normal 17% tax most get away with today. Using the same logic above, and say 4% return on that 100mil, said person makes 4mil a year. Thats $456 dollars, an hour (every hour, “not working hour”). We want to tax that $456 at %25, so $114 is that amount. So now those people net worth 100mil are only making 3 million dollars a year.

I don’t know about you, but %25 is NOT FUCKING ENOUGH!!!

So do I give a single shit these larger donors are asking her to step back on her promise? No, becuase it’s donor like us, you know the ones not making $456 an hour, that have donated to help her to get to 300 million campaign dollars.

Can politicians redirect donations to other arms of the government? Like, can she publicly say “this billionaire gave me this much money to not look at their taxes” and then hand the funds over the IRS with a wink and a nudge?

I’m just picturing that meme of the guy sweating over two buttons. This time it’s rich people looking at option 1: Pay significantly less than my fair share but still a lot of money to the “poors”, Or option 2: back an insane narcissistic kleptocrat and hope the country doesn’t fall apart.

Maybe they mean it like “drop a new single”? Like, drop a tax on they ass? Here’s hoping.
