It would be good if it had a function to limit brightness by time or by battery level and was Foss (but being Foss is not necessary if app is good and don’t want too much permissions). Current screens are too bright for me.

I think Tasker could do this, but it is paid app. Good app tho, highly recommend if you want to automate anything

I use Night Owl. It has a setting for time, but not battery level. You can set it between 0 - 100%, but 100 isn’t “completely black”. It defaults the brightness to minimum for the phone when it is on and goes further.

What does APP stand for? What is Fossness? (Fossity?)

APP = short for application, little programms you can install on your smartphone

FOSS = abbreviation for ‘free open source software’

Hope i could help! If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to ask! Cheers!

The word “app” would be short for “application.” “APP” in all caps implies an initialism.

FOSS is an initialism. “Foss,” with not all of its letters capitalized, would not be.

        Hope this helps.
