How to Play
The rules for each round are below. Calculation and reporting of scores is on the honor system.
Rules for Round 1
Example of the Format
- You will need to find the connection between the 4 clues. Each clue is revealed by opening the spoiler tags in the post for each.
- You get one guess, and the goal is to use as few clues as possible.
- Clues are given out one at a time, and you should only reveal the next clue if you cannot make the connection with the clues given so far.
- Each additional clue reduces the points earned to the value indicated above it. e.g. if you get the answer after the third clue is revealed, you will receive only two points.
- The later clues are usually easier to reveal the connection with the last clue sometimes being obvious.
Rules for Round 2
- In this round, each set of four clues forms a sequence. Up to three clues can be revealed, and you are responsible for determining the last clue in the sequence.
- As before, clues are revealed one at a time, and the goal is to correctly identify the last item in the sequence using as few clues as possible.
- A bonus point is awarded for correctly identifying the connection between the items in the completed sequence .

I don’t think I actually paid much attention to Discovery, when I’ve watched it.
Yeah, doing the “sequences” round has proven to be more challenging that I thought. I may phase those out if I keep doing these and just do two “find the connection” ones.
Most of the sequences I come up with are super easy or so obscure that it’s just not fun even trying to guess. lol
It’s crossed my mind to try to make a ST themed Only Connect Wall puzzle, just to show all those NYT Connect players what obscure clues REALLY are… but its really intimidating. Plus it would probably have to be untimed.
Someone pointed me toward puzzgrid.com which lets you make Connections-style puzzles. Haven’t gotten to play with it, though.
Crazy obscure or reasonably straight forward is fairly in keeping with the show.
I’m loving them by they way. Though I am hoping Lemmy’s media upload limits means no audio round.
Audio does embed in Lemmy (most clients, anyway, including Lemmy UI), but I hate the audio clues in OC, and vow to not adapt those here 😆
Huzzah!
Oof, 0 points. These are kicking my ass. Lol

I have stared into the void, and it stared back with all the points I didn’t win today.
Fuck, I didn’t see these before and for a hot second thought it was a new British panel show (but then Victorias age gave it away :().
Still, these are great!
1 point! Lol
0 points for me, those are tough clues!
2 points in round 1! 0 for round 2. Still a fun game, thanks for making them.

3 points, but that includes getting the overall connection without knowing #4

Oooh, I placed the first clue for Round 1 immediately but the rest threw me off 😅 Never got into the season(s) relevant to Round 2 so 🤷 on that one too :-\
Oh, maybe I’ll watch all’ that here! Just kidding, we’ve only got access to like five streaming services and violently headdesks until streaming service shenans are forgotten Uhhh, what was I saying? Anyway we don’t have access to that here :-\
Yay trivia funtimes, though :3
