Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy ripped the Kansas City Chiefs’ medical staff for the lack of urgency involving an eye injury he suffered in Thursday’s season opener.
This just sounds like healthcare. I mean if my eye got messed up it would take way longer than a quarter of a football game to get seen.
It really sounds to me like they probably made some emergency call to someone in the area who was able to come in.
I don’t know how you could possibly keep a staff of every specialist you could theoretically need in any scenario on standby at the stadium. Guys don’t have facial fractures near their eye socket on a regular basis.
“I was supposed to see an ophthalmologist … and they took an entire quarter to get down to talk to me in the locker room – which, to me, is unacceptable.”
Do they actually have eye doctors on site for the 1 game in 1,000 that they might be useful?
