There actually aren’t THAT many mushrooms that are “insanely” poisonous. There are a lot that will make you quite sick though and enough that are insanely poisonous though. There are also some that will make you meet god in a different way.
Even if it doesn’t kill you, it can be very bad if it makes you vomit a lot and get severe diarrhea, can even be indirectly fatal depending on circumstances. Also what’s worse about the ones which are insanely poisonous is that many look insanely boring.

I know, I’ve tried hallucinogenic mushrooms before when I was a teenager. Suffice to say I didn’t like what they made me see, lots of scary shit, was not a pleasant experience, plus made me feel sick afterwards. 0/10 would not recommend, plus it was illegal but thankfully neither me nor my friend got in any trouble.
