I really hope tablets like this come down in price eventually, they seem so useful but I don’t really want to pay low end laptop prices for one.
It would probably be hard to do well but it would be really cool if someone made a replacement top lid for the framework 13 that had an e ink screen so you could just close your laptop and take notes on the lid. You could even customize it to display whatever you want when the laptop is open so you could have virtual laptop stickers or like show your name for when you’re somewhere people need to know your name.
Yeah, the pricepoint really doesn’t sit well with me either. For certain use-cases, it’s better than a laptop or normal tablet. And for certain use-cases, it’s better than a sheet of paper.
But if I own a laptop and a sheet of paper, I’m not sure the remaining use-cases are worth 399 bucks…
That actually looks like some pretty cool hardware.
Is there any decent handwriting recognition that works with this?
In 10 more years we’ll have an update on this update. Pine makes some cool SBCs but I’m not sure how much of it is usable.
Nice… but what’s the max temp I can set it to for soldering?
This looks dope as fuck, imagine emulating Ōkami on this
