I actually walked out of the theater during this scene.
I was just genuinely dumbfounded by so much of that movie.
Like the scientist characters are super skittish about doing anything…until a fanged snake appears and suddenly they’re like “oooh let’s pet it!”
Can we all just collectively agree that Ridley Scott should stick to directing and shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a movie script because he is an idiot?
If only it was rolling down a ravine, there would be some justification.
I think you’re supposed to accept that she was panicking but, still. Maybe if you stretch it out and view her as a metaphor for humanity being too stupid to avoid our demise through anything but luck?
But what if you can live with it? I can live with it.
Maybe not for very long, but yeah.
