In the final weeks before Election Day, Republican groups have filed lawsuits in the swing states of Michigan, North Carolina and Pennsylvania that challenge the validity of ballots cast by U.S. citizens living abroad, including members of the U.S. military.

For anybody curious, the lawsuit was filed by 6 Republicans in the house of Representatives, all of whom voted not to certify the election results in swing states in 2020. Figures…

How are these people still allowed to be in congess?

    As someone voting abroad.

Do you know how fucking hard it is to maintain my status already.

    Fuck these clowns.

(Granted, they don’t give a shit about my vote because I’m in an extremely safe democratic state)

I’ll go ahead and ask. How hard is it?

It’s really annoying. It’s difficult to initially register addresses that are abroad. You need to update voter information well in advance to ensure you get a ballot on time and if you fail to return a ballot you’re often kicked off the rolls.

They are much more aggressive about removing folks for unreturned mail ballots than failing to show up at a polling place.

Republicans hate the troops. That’s what you need to know.

Republicans hate the Constitution because they hate democracy. So much of their efforts are thrown at suppressing voting.
