Personally it would be the form of a GBA, I love the form and would love a handled with the same shape
PSP Go style! It would be small enough to fit in your pocket, but can slide open to reveal the controls. It’s still brilliant, it’s a shame that form never took off.
My 2nd choice would probably be a clamshell (like the Nintendo DS). Everything else is honestly a bit too big to be very portable.
YES! I would love to see a modern handheld with a PSP Go form-factor and a touch screen. (And maybe a 2nd thumbstick!)
Touch is good and all but the second thumb stick is a bare necessity in all first person and many third person games.
Big time. It can make a big difference in terms of what homebrew/ports you can play.
I’ve never understood why devices like the RG351V went with a single stick. Especially when you consider how it struggled with PSP emulation.
It would literally be an 8bitdo Ultimate controller split down the center with a 7.5” 16:10 screen in the middle
Steam Deck, but with a second screen that can slide up from the back for use with DS/3DS games.
Also higher quality screens and the DPad from a Sega Saturn model 2 controller. I wish I saw the Saturn 2 DPad in more things; it really is the GOAT DPad. Never used a Vita, but I hear that DPad may be able to match it.
I would love an upgraded v90, so gba format. Or, a 351p with a 4:3 aspect screen and wifi. They both have volume wheels, which I really like compared to volume rockers.
gameboy DSi XL
Actually I am absolutely happy with both the style of the original PSP and the retroid Pocket 3+. But as the RP3+ already is a retro handheld I am good :D
I like how RG353PS and RG351MP look.
