      I feel like this will eventually lead to wrist/firearm “cellphones” rather than watches, as they can finally actually slightly contour to your arm and be sold to different people of different sizes.

        what i want is something like a xiaomi smart band with a rolled up display on the other side that you can pull out over your palm, that’d be some of the best ergonomics i can imagine.

        and if you can make it deploy with a spiderman gesture that’s 5 billion bonus points

        People would be sold them very cheaply and be required to subscribe to gain more than limited control of the screen output. Hackers will put gore and porn on them and turn people into pariahs. They’ll BSOD in public, give you cancer, require an always-on connection, turn you into an advert (surely you could not object, if you are paid a fraction of a penny per eyeball), be made by slave labor, and end up in the sea.

        And people will scoff at you for not liking it.
