When you take “Fuck Nazis” to literal.
The feelings resulting from hearing and agreeing to the phrase “fuck Nazis”:
- Normal people: *righteous anger, vengeful rage*
- CDU politicians: *sexual arousal, raging boner*
Where is that literal one is taking “Fuck Nazis” to?
Is that literal one is taking “fuck Nazis” to where?
A prime example of the so-called “conservative” CDU. Don’t ever delude yourselves that they are a democratic party with democratic values.
Christian Democratic Union, no less.
Interesting take on Christianity.
Interesting take on Democracy.
I guess we just need the party to split in order for the irony to be complete.
They are somewhat split, their Bavarian branch is calling themselves “CSU” - “Christian Social Union”, yet one more irony.
Also in the recent years, the more open Nazi supporters split off and formed two separate parties, first the AfD, and later, the “Werteunion” - “Values Union”. You can guess what their “values” are.
As much as I dislike the CDU and especially their current leadership, there is still a large number of people in there who believe in democratic processes.
Which is why they do support that kind of leadership and tolerate(d) vile individuals like the Guy of the original post and the founders of the AfD and the Werteunion in their mids.
I don’t think there’s an all-encompassing answer to that. Organizations, parties included, are simply not without their inner contradictions and don’t behave as a single organism. We’ve butted heads on pretty much that issue before. :)
I’ll also note that in many cases, the CDU understanding of democracy is maximally representative which I think breeds antidemocratic sentiment. I.e. they want people to vote every four years but that is all they expect voters to decide, and they don’t want to be transparent toward voters.
So… the noose is fine, but the “S” is the problem?
No, everything about his little handiwork was bad, but there are law’s against nazi symbolism in Germany. The guy chose to use the short word “Scheiss” for “shitty” and specifically wrote it with the replacement double S instead of the normal ß at the end, just so he could cram in a nazi symbol. So yeah, he went above and beyond to get in trouble.
The other stuff is bad as well, but he could maybe argue his way out of it as laws about it are kinda vague.
We had ample (pun!) precedent of nooses over the past year. Granted, often slung around traffic lights rather than figurines. I don’t think those cases actually went anywhere (prove me wrong).
Don’t forget the vague implication that he’s fucking the doll instead of using it as an effigy for his threat of violence.
He’s in jail already? Or will he be minister of justice next? Just asking!
