DDT is an extreme way to get rid of mosquitos. Seal up the gaps in your window screens. Keep the bedroom door closed. It’s working for me during mosquito season on the subtropical island where I live.

I realize I’m giving advice to a comic about a banned chemical.

      Probably more for bed bugs.

Bedbugs have evolved resistance to DDT.

Citronella candles do an all right job too if you don’t mind the smell.

I have known individuals who, while I cannot prove it, are probably not mosquitos but who also hate the smell of citronella.

I mean it’s not wrong considering boomers somewhere probably have a lifetime supply of banned chemicals

DDT is what killed off Malaria in Europe (and probably in most of the US too, but I don’t know as much about that).
It saved a hundred thousand times more lives than it may have cost.

Yep, same in America. 10-seconds after we wiped out malaria we told the rest of the world to get fucked. “Oh, you can produce DDT, but we won’t trade with you if you do.”

A decade-long push and we could have eradicated malaria, then banned it. We got ours, fuck the rest of you. Now it’s a brown people problem, just as intended.

That foul bitch, Rachael Carlson, and her cute little book Silent Spring, killed far more humans than Hitler and Stalin combined ever dreamed about.

Uh think more along the lines of it causing the genocide of bees. Without bees for our food supply, ddt is gonna cost way more lives than it saved.

Bees aren’t the only pollinators, by a long shot. And do you have some evidence that DDT was wiping them out in the first place? You A-OK with the pesticides were using now, that are actually killing off honey bees?

LOL, no, you don’t. Because Varroa mites, introduced in the 90s, long after DDT, are what are killing our honey bees.
