Feel free to have a look at
Some people post full action movies to youtube. It’s interesting bc they use various techniques to avoid the copyright-detection bots: they append long segments of unrelated video after the movie, they manipulate the “thumbnail” that shows when you mouse-over the timeline, I think they AI-generate thumbnails that aren’t actually clips from the movie, and of course they use text that describes the movie without actually using the movie name. The accounts look like they’ve been around a while, with “video blog” style posts in different languages. In the comments, people without an adblock strategy complain about the large number of ads, so I’m guessing the posters are trying to maximize uptime to make more ad money?
The movies are usually only up a day or two before the algorithms figure it out (or they get manually reported?) and they’re taken down but a lot of times they get resposted. I suspect it’s ongoing and I just stumbled into it now bc I was looking for movies to post to [email protected] . Anyway, uBO is still working on youtube, so I watched a couple of those recently.
young sheldon, that show first appeared a lot in my facebook feed and well it got me, what a good show
Arcane!!!
The “banned” episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
We’re on season 3 of Slow Horses - so good! Also started Bad Monkey and Bad Sisters.
Oh boy…
I watched every Terrifier movie, The Substance, and started watching a show called Teacup.
It’s been… a ride.
We liked teacup.
I’m on the last few episodes of the Chinese fantasy series, Fangs of Fortune. I’m not ready for it to end. Edward Guo is such a wonderfully creative director, his projects always stand out in this genre. He also works with a lot of actors I really like. I’ve had the OST on repeat while working.
Saw “Speak no Evil”, the original fucked up one, not the american remake… It’s evil allright…😮💨
Am enjoying Ludwig, a BBC crime detective drama with David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin. You can watch it if you can get to the BBCs iPlayer.
I’m binge-watching The Last of Us this weekend.
I avoided it because it was based on a video game. I was wrong to.
Sigh, I guess I better stop avoiding it.
Watched Cloudy Have A Chance of Meatball 2, it’s an okay sequel and fun to watch, really like how there’s a lot of hint the entire movie about what those food are and why Berry acted that way. Weak villain though, feels like it shouldn’t need one.
I watched The Day of the Jackal - very good.
Original 1973 film also worth watching
I started watching Summer Camp Island. It’s very cute and fun.
