Newton’s Cradle

Great for focus, like a decaying metronome

Don’t you need a lego forkclift license to possess and operate one of thos?

I’ve got a bobble-head baby Groot. It’s pretty handy to talk to, and it’s a useful branch manager. Plus, it has root access.

I had some red paper stuffed in the one side for a little bit too 🤣

That is a pretty interesting piece. I’ll have to remember die cast direct whenever I have some space and money to expand my model car collection

How exactly does a newton’s cradle help with focus? I never had one, and I think I’d end up focusing on the motion of it instead of anything else I’m supposed to be doing.

Rubik’s cube. I learned to solve it years back and got interested in speed solving. I just pick it up and solve it a few times throughout the day. It’s also fun to fidget with.

I like those things that are in weird shapes and filled with colored liquids that you flip upside down and does “cool stuff” lol

(I always forget what they’re called)

The most satisfying thing when I need to fidget is something to take things apart and put back together. And the best things for that are ones that can be stripped and reassembled without me needing to look at them.

So far the best of best is this “multitool pen” I got for secret santa last year. It’s nearly worthless for any of its advertised functions, but as a fidget toy I really like it.

On my desk, I have a Spring Duck.

If you don’t know what a spring duck is, that’s because I created it out of random shit that we found around the office. Specifically, a plastic duck, and a spring.

I have a “This is Fine” dog Funko Pop on my desk at work. He works well for rubber ducky programming, and he encapsulates the feelings I typically have after dealing with some of my clients.

This isn’t my picture, but it’s a similar setup:
