I can’t say any of it is surprising, because almost everything I pop in there is something I anticipate needing in the future. And sometimes I’m right, yeah, I do need it.

Most frequently hit up is the recipe pages, because the original website sucks, crashy and ad-ridden and shifts your place around. Also because I experiment around with the recipe and write what worked well, so I know to (never) modify the recipe like that again.

Not used often but when it is… I have a spot specifically for stuff I 1) spent ages trying to re-find on the internet after finding it once and 2) that I think I’ll probably go rabbitholing after again sometime. Once I find it it goes on the list. If it was hard to find the second time, let us make it easy for time number three. I do not always re-access everything on that page, but if I do I’m guaranteed to have saved at least an hour.

I keep notes as wiki-like pages. It’s incredibly useful to have specific, contextual documentation that makes sense to me. I can share it to people as well, but that takes some molding.

All the time? I’m guessing you are talking about information that was lifesaving or something that is in your PKM, if so, then I can’t think of a time off the top of my head but I stick to “all the time” because I really do use it as my digitized brain. It also revs my brain to come up with new ideas (yes I have a ‘Ideas.md’ file.

      All the time?

      Come here to say that.

I now have accepted as a fact that we’re smarter together, my Zettel and I. But I was really skeptical at first and it a true slap in the face when I was forced to realize how helpful this sucker was.

A couple months into it I was sold to the idea, and the more I have been using it since then the more I have been convinced I should have started using it decades ago, and that we should have been taught what that was all about back then, at the university. So much wasted time and opportunities, and interesting… surprises ;)

Any kind of example to give? That’s why I created this post, I guess most people agree that conceptually a pkms is useful, but don’t realize actual examples of use
