Summary

Former FBI officials are warning that Donald Trump’s nominee for FBI director, Kash Patel, could wield unchecked power if confirmed.

Patel, a Trump loyalist with no FBI experience, has called for shutting down FBI headquarters and creating an “enemies list” for retribution.

Critics, including former FBI assistant director Frank Figliuzzi, express concern over Patel’s potential to politicize investigations, manipulate background checks, and prioritize partisan agendas over national security.

Patel’s nomination, likely supported by Senate Republicans, raises fears of the FBI becoming subservient to the Trump administration.

Too late now. Wray obeying in advance, like the rest of them, screwed you.

So much for those background checks they finally agreed to. Here comes the dumpster fire.

What’s changed isn’t the FBI’s power, it’s whom it’s power is targeting. Important people are in danger of being subjected to the system. And those important people expect me to give one little shit.

Remember, for Patel to match his predecessors’ abuse of power it will not be enough to arrest Liz Cheney, he’ll have to assassinate her.
