    I sat a dog who looked so sad when I caught him eating the trash, and he sulked over to the kennel with his tail down. When I cleaned up his mess and went to lock him in the kennel, he was eating a treasure trove of trash he stashed in there and looked at me with the most smug face I’ve ever seen on a dog.

      My buddy had living room brunch plate with a piece of bacon on an ottoman. My old hound walked by turned his head sniped that bacon in front of me and another roommate. Then smugly went to his living room bead and savored the bacon.

      We were so impressed at the smooth execution we didn’t even try to take it.
