This morning somebody on Mastodon posted how they are done with the public broadcast because the host of a news show dared to open the show with “good evening”
That’s actually fucking stupid.

I’ve met people online who mocked me relentlessly for objecting to their use of the n word to make fun of a black person in the VoIP chat.
Guarantee they’d enthusiastically share this meme thinking of people like me.
This reminds me of the Star Wars drinking game (back before Episode 1).

That’s part of the joke. The first scene of Episode IV before Vader boards is a heavy shootout, so you basically just start the film and drink until you pass out.
Lol. Oh, right. I was kind of asking for clarification if tie fighters count, but I guess that’s a moot point. I had not thought about the impact of the battle at the start of Ep IV - probably leaves everyone too black out drunk for the rest to matter.
I was rewatching Star Trek: TNG high def version, and i thought “you know, if there’s a drinking game where you drink when you spot a mistake, the Blu-ray would be a death sentence”.
Personal challenge: Next time you watch TNG, focus on a background actor during the expository parts. Michael Dorns background acting always slaps.
What mistakes do you spot?
Lots of screws in the plexiglass consoles, they blur out on standard definition
black cardboard rectangles taped to the back display. A ton of cameras and crew members came over from TOS. Hard, shotgun lights, directly in the actors face, and directly at the huge plexiglass, curved back display.
Carpet chunks tucked under chairs to stop a wobble.
Whenever Data handles something, some of the Android makeup comes off onto the prop.
In one scene, Captain Picard straight up nods off while talking to Romulans. Can’t really tell in SD, painfully apparent in HD.
There’s many more, but they all add to the charm.
Ps: You can sometimes see the fishing line used to keep Geordies visor on the actors face.
